Dr. RÖVID graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Technical University of Kosice. He earned his PhD degree in Transportation Sciences in 2005 from Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is (co)author of over 100 publications. His main interest include image processing, 3D machine vision, environment perception for autonomous driving. He was awarded the Suzuki Foundation Postdoctoral Research Scholarship in 2006; the János Bolyai Postdoctoral Scholarship in 2008; the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Invitation Fellowship Programs for Research in Japan in 2013. From 2015-2018 he worked as R&D engineer in machine vision at Kyoto Robotics Corporation in Japan where from 2017 he was leading the machine vision group.
